The PMA7000 represents the next evolutionary step in audio control. With the introduction of IntelliVoxtm, the proprietary automatic VOX squelch control, intercom operation is greatly simplified. Safety and convenience are paramount in the PMA7000M-S development.
High quality, six-pole active filtering on individual microphone channels forms the heart of the intercom system. The IntelliVoxtm constantly adjusts the squelch threshold on each microphone input, differentiating between cabin noise and human speech.
Split mode communications capability allows crew members to use both radios independently.
An optional DRAWS (Digital Recording and Audio Warning System) system includes a recorder that stores the last ATC communications. The alert system interfaces to engine gages to provide voice announcements of out-of-limit indications.
This unit is designed to be a pin-compatible replacement for the PMA6000M-S, as well as the KMA-24.
The positive-action buttons and legends are backlit for nighttime viewing. LED indicators provide annunciation of the selected modes. The receiver buttons also latch, for unambiguous mode identification even in bright sunlight.
Fail-safe feature automatically connects the pilot to Com 1 if the unit or power fails.
The PMA7000 also gives the pilot and passengers audio access to wireless telephone systems.
Two individual high-fidelity stereo inputs allow entertainment flexibility for passengers and crew. Music source 1 is always provided to the pilots, music 2 is presented in the passenger area.
A swap function allows pilots to use a yoke-mounted button to switch between Com 1 and Comm 2 without reaching for the panel.
Buttons are removable for custom configurations.
