VHF/FM TRANSCEIVER (NTX138-062) by NAT

The NTX generation of FM transceivers are the next evolutionary step within NAT’s powerful Tac/Com™ series of airborne communication radios. Combining outstanding technical performance with advanced manufacturing techniques, these radios provide a smooth upgrade path within the Tac/Com™ product family.

Using microprocessor controlled digital technology, the NTX radio is capable of high speed scanning, high volume channel storage, and is compatible* with the Tac/Com II™ control head. The split shell design of the NTX makes servicing simple and quick, translating into low cost of ownership, and low MTTR. The NTX supports all the demanding needs for both current and future applications, including CTCSS tones, DCS, encryption (optional), multiple high speed scan modes, high/low TX power selection, and front panel programmable wide or narrow band capability. Depending on the model, optional features can include a 2 channel dedicated real time guard (USFS compatible), selectable bandwidth filters, and DF outputs.

Unlike many existing wide band radios that may suffer from badly degraded selectivity and noise characteristics, the NTX series has the razor sharp RF performance of a narrow-band radio coupled with agility, scanning speed and wide coverage. The advanced multi-conversion receiver design provides outstanding image rejection. Operators in high density radio traffic areas will experience improved freedom from interference even when scanning across dozens of channels.

A major advantage of the NTX is its compact 1/4 ATR size (2.0" wide, 5.1" high and 10.5" deep). A total weight of less than 4.5 lbs (2.2 kg) including the mounting tray, makes the NTX one of the lightest transceivers of its kind. The system interconnect is minimized by using serial communications between the control head and the transceiver.
